Youth and Family Mentoring Support
Our trained volunteers provide free, long‑term, one‑to‑one mentoring for young people aged 11–18 across Surrey and 18-25 in Woking and Guildford, including those living within a family setting.
Mentoring sessions are available both in school and within the wider community, giving young people consistent, flexible support in the environments where they feel most comfortable. We work closely with schools to deliver mentoring on-site during term time, and provision continues throughout school holidays, ensuring continuous, year-round mentoring. This continuity of service enables us to maintain stability, strengthen relationships, and promote continued progress for the young people we support.
Youth and Family mentoring provides a relaxed, supportive relationship where everyone can talk openly, develop trust, and strengthen social skills. It supports young people to develop coping strategies, emotional regulation, and healthier decision‑making.
A consistent, caring mentor offers a safe space for young people to express emotions. This emotional support can reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and isolation by giving young people someone who listens without judgement.
Our mentoring can influence a young person’s development well into adulthood, contributing not only to improved mental health but also stronger community engagement, healthier relationships, and improved educational outcomes.
My mentor was so patient and kind; she genuinely cared about what I had to say. I know she is there if I need to voice any concern.
