Community Gardens and Allotments

Community Gardens and Allotments are a fantastic place to relax, enjoy the fresh air and be part of a vibrant community.

Individuals, families or groups can take part in activities at our award winning allotments.

Our Gateway Garden based at New Pond Allotments in Reigate provides families and adults with opportunities to work with trained volunteers on a range of horticultural activities. These include everything from developing and maintaining the site to more therapeutic activities such as sensory planting or craft activities.

Additional life skills activities, such as healthy eating, budgeting and employment advice, are also offered.

At the allotment I feel I’m doing something constructive rather than destructive. It’s good to get out of the house for a bit and away from situations that I can’t control.

Additionally, the Stanwell Community Group founded and manages the Stanwell Community Allotment which is now a cornerstone of support in the local area.

The welcoming space for children, families, and community groups offers the therapeutic benefits of gardening and helps the community to be more healthy and active. Residents enjoy the freedom of being outdoors, planting and growing vegetables and flowers, developing skills, and making friends.
