Today starts this year’s 16 days of activism against domestic abuse – a worldwide call for the elimination of gender-based violence.
We play our part as many of our beneficiaries have experienced this devastating treatment which can go on to affect every facet of their future life – relationships, education, employment, mental health etc. We help to give them a voice and skills to build their confidence and move forward through our mentoring, and especially through the work at our Clarendon and Stanwell Family Centres.
Holly's progress was amazing. She went from coming in to see me in floods of tears to a very confident person who stood up tall and proud of herself.
