Are you passionate about helping people, especially families? Then this could be the role for you!

We’re looking for two new Outreach workers to work from one of our three Family Centres in Spelthorne.

As an outreach worker you will be responsible for ensuring that all families receive the right help at the right time. You will be working directly with families as the children’s champion and provide practical interventions through early help and targeted support.

Suitable candidate’s will:

  • Hold a full and relevant minimum level 3 qualification in, Education, Childcare, Health and Social Care or relevant field
  • Have creativity and enthusiasm when working with children and families individually as well as part of a multi professional team
  • Have confidence to assess the needs of families and create and monitor a plan of support based on this
  • Conduct regular reviews with all families during meetings and home visits
  • Manage and organise a workload of 12-15 cases, through effective diary management and record keeping
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills as well as an understanding of the role of Surrey Family Centres and Safeguarding Children
  • Promote and facilitate family learning and parenting courses
  • Ensure adherence to standards and legislation for confidentiality, equality and diversity
  • Have a full driving license and have your own transport.
