Endeavour's endeavours

Regular updates on the environmental work carried out by our volunteer Swingbridge Endeavour crews.

DL and myself and 6 others set off to Dapdune Wharf for drinking water. We used this time to review the canal man’s hitch, lock drills and some helming manoeuvres.

Upstream to Ferry Lane bridge (jump-off bridge) for lunch and Himalayan Balsam clearing. After our respite and the balsam bashing, onto some helming turns on our way to drop the clients nearby the railway station.

Please do not fear, there is a significant amount of balsam to by thumped.

We left many jumpers at the bridge, they were jumping of upstream. Also, launching themselves on a paddle board.

Upon returning to our Shalford mooring we found it occupied and so moored about 100 metres upstream.
